My Name is Larry Philpot

Mr. Philpot is one of the 8th grade Math Teachers here at Chestnut Log.  He also teaches the Algebra 1 class in which students will receive a High School Credit once successfully completed.  Mr. Philpot graduated from Cass High School in Cartersville, Georgia in 1988 and went on to graduate from Fort Valley State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems.  Mr. Philpot recently received his Master's degree in Middle Grades and Secondary Education from Kennesaw State University.  Mr. Philpot has been teaching for 17 years with 10 of those years being here at Chestnut Log.  Mr. Philpot is also the Head Football and Head Basketball Coach for the 2023-24 school year.
