Mr. Donald Smith
Hello, My name is Donald Smith and this is my second year at Chestnut Log Middle School. I will be teaching 6th Grade Math at Chestnut Log Middle School. I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology in 2016.
I grew up in Detroit Michigan and moved to Georgia in 2005. I enjoy sports and spending time with my family in my free time. I have three kids and have been married to my lovely wife for 31 years.
Prior to becoming an educator, I worked in the field of public safety/law enforcement in both Michigan and Georgia. My favorite quote/message is “be the change you want to see in the world”.
My goal for my students is to develop self awareness into their individual learning styles, not only when it relates to math, but in all disciplines.
