Cheer Camp 2022

Cheer Camp has come and gone for the cheerleaders at CLMS!

We are excited to welcome in our new ladies and welcome back our returning ones. Camp is where our rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade athletes become a TEAM and a FAMILY. This week we have been learning our cheers for the upcoming football season, participating in fun games, and practicing our stunts and tumbling -  all while building strong and confident leaders. Check out our photo gallery for some pictures to see how much fun we are having.

...FOOTBALL SEASON - Here we come!

Cheerleading Info

Being a cheerleader can be a fun experience with so many rewards. Cheerleading involves a commitment to the team and to the school. Our cheerleaders are not only leaders on the field, but also inside and outside the school.

Our mission is to promote the development of lifelong values and skills through the sport of cheerleading.  We aim to build character, discipline, self-esteem, and integrity in every athlete. We are dedicated to upholding school spirit, unity, and pride. We will show good behavior and sportsmanship at all times by representing Chestnut Log Middle School to the highest degree. Through training, our athletes will also learn respect, humility, and commitment as well as exhibit leadership qualities to the student body.

If you are interested in trying out for cheerleading for the 2023-2024 school year, please email Coach Humkey. Tryouts for the upcoming school year are held in the spring close to spring break. You must be academically eligible and have a valid physical on file at the school.
